What's the difference between free and paid?
Free tracks unlimited jobs, keeps 5 saved documents, includes 3 practice interviews, and lets you try the AI — enough to run a real search and see if Hey Vitae fits. Plus is where applying opens up: unlimited Apply IQ (instant match scores, cover-letter feedback, and résumé coaching on every job you track), full interview prep on 10 jobs a month, and Ask (Beta). Max is the plan for interviewing: unlimited interview prep (fair use), Deep Prep research for every interview, and 10 practice interviews a month. We don't meter every click — you pick the jobs worth prepping for.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel or downgrade whenever you want, no penalty. Your data stays — everything you've built stays viewable and editable, even on Free. Tracking stays unlimited on Free, so your pipeline is never locked; the only change is that new AI prep runs against the paid monthly allowance, and if you're over the Free document limit (5) when a pass lapses you won't be able to add new documents until you're back under it or upgrade.
What's the Functioning Human bonus?
Plus and Max include full access to Functioning Human — a goal-finishing platform with a community focused on real life skills. When your Hey Vitae subscription ends, you can keep Functioning Human access on its own from $8 a month.
Do plans auto-renew?
The Job Search Pass — Plus ($99) or Max ($179) — is billed once and doesn't auto-renew. You pay once for 6 months of access, and it ends when the six months are up. No surprise renewals, nothing to cancel. Monthly plans renew until you cancel.
What's the 15-day satisfaction guarantee?

Every account — Free or Plus — gets 3 practice interviews to start. After that you can add a 5-interview pack for $15 any time, on any plan. If you're practising regularly, Max is the better deal: $39 a month includes 10 a month — $30 of value — plus Deep Prep research. Heavy practice user? Reach out and we'll work something out.
How do practice interview add-on packs work?
You can buy a 5-interview add-on pack for $15 any time — no paid plan required. Pack interviews are used after your included plan interviews are gone. Packs stay valid for a year, so one you buy now is there when you need it.
